McNerney to Hold Senior Assistance Workshop in Brentwood

Brentwood, CA – Congressman Jerry McNerney (CA-11) announced today that he will hold a senior assistance workshop in Brentwood.  The workshop will take place on Tuesday, August 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Brentwood Senior Activity Center, located at 193 Griffith Lane.

Representatives from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Social Security Administration, Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP), and Contra Costa County Aging and Adult Services will be on hand to offer one-on-one assistance to seniors with obtaining benefits, including applying for Social Security and Medicare benefits, checking on the status of a previous application, and obtaining help with missing Social Security payments.
