McNerney Announces Transportation Subcommittee Assignments
Washington, D.C. – Today, the House Committee for Transportation and Infrastructure announced the Democratic membership for the 110th Congress. Congressman McNerney (CA-11) secured seats the Highways and Transit Subcommittee and Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee.
“I’m pleased to receive my assignments on two subcommittees that focus on issues critical to the 11th District,” McNerney said. “I can’t wait to delve into the work, initiating transportation projects to ease the grueling commutes of so many in the district, ensuring clean air and water, and working to strengthen the levees and flood protection system in the San Joaquin Delta.”
Service on the Highways and Transit Subcommittee will allow Rep. McNerney to focus on transportation projects critical to the East Bay and San Joaquin County, as well as expanding access to public transportation.
Rep. McNerney’s service on the Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee will allow for a focus on important water quality and flood control projects throughout the 11th District.
